The Reverend Dr. Frederick Moser has been the rector of Trinity Episcopal Church since December 2015.   He came to Trinity with deep and varied history of experiences in his calling to the priesthood after his ordination in 1982.  Most recently he has been rector of Church of the Holy Spirit in Wayland, MA, where he served for the past 21 years.  Concurrently, he was a Field Education Supervisor for Harvard Divinity School, Ecumenical and Interreligious Officer for the Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts and Convener for the Wayland Interfaith Clergy Association.  He has spent time in Israel, Palestine, Turkey and Europe as a pilgrim, student and traveler.  Fred was also Chaplain at Hobart and William Smith Colleges, Associate Rector of St. Mary’s Church in Manchester, CT and teacher of Religious Studies for middle and high school students at Trinity School in New York City.

Fred ‘s Doctorate of Ministry is from Episcopal Divinity School, he also has a Master of Divinity from Yale Divinity School and a Bachelor of Arts in history from Connecticut College.

Fred is married to the Reverend Kim Hardy, an accomplished liturgist, musician and cellist.  A bearer of Celtic Spirituality, she is also a pilgrimage leader and facilitator of spiritual development.  Fred and Kim have two daughters, Julia who recently graduated from St. Olaf’s College in Minnesota, and Rachel who is a student at Sweet Briar College in Sweet Briar, Virginia.

Fred and Kim will move to Shelburne in late December.  He is eager to kayak and canoe on the lake.  Fred also enjoys cooking, swimming and working on his model railroad.
